Barcamp Tamale 2018 is a free networking forum bringing people together for a day of learning, sharing, networking and mentoring. It will take place on July 28 at the Tamale College of Education. The theme is Citizen duties for successful national building.

The GhanaThink Foundation has successfully organized 87 Barcamps in Ghana as part of its Barcamp Ghana program since 2008. BarCamp Tamale 2018 will be a showcase of leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in the Northern region. Discussions will center on empowering the youth for better development across all sectors. It will be an event for many people who live and are interested in Tamale to learn, share and network. This 8th Barcamp in Tamale would focus on empowering people so that we can be more productive as individuals and as a nation.

What to expect?

  • Celebrating some of the best of our community and beyond
  • Breakout sessions that you can also lead

The Barcamp will feature multiple user-generated breakout sessions about business, social entrepreneurship, technology and development, alongside topics relevant to the Northern Region and beyond. There will be a speed mentoring session where mentors will give insights and answers to questions from attendees.

Our confirmed mentors include Francis Saa-Dittoh, Ewurama Attoh, Ibrahim Mustapha, Gertrude Kunde-Kwallinjam, Kofi Larbi, Senyo Kpelly, Barbara Nantogmah, Mahmud-Mohammed Nurudeen, Rita Suhyini Salifu, Idrissu Abdul-Rashid, Abdul Mumin-Yussif, Peter Kwarteng, Ehla Ethel Emefa, Joshua Mogre, Abdul Kasiru Shani, Ruka Yaro, Dan Gyamfi, etc have been featured on our Facebook page. Others would be announced soon!
